A new approach to light sources, EL-Lighting^TM is an ultra-flexible, durable and lightweight system using SuperFlex^TM technology based on electroactive polymers. The electroactive polymers are used in conjunction with phosphors, dielectric materials, and other components in special flexible formulations to produce flexible electroluminescent (EL) illumination.

EL-Lighting^TM differs from traditional lighting sources in its ability to create uniformly diffuse light sources as opposed to ‘point sources’ of light such as incandescent and LED bulbs. This feature, combined with its flat profile, enables users to create large area light emitting surfaces that can be designed for uses such as tent lighting, displays or vehicle interiors. Whether illuminating areas as small as a cell phone button or as large as the interior of a large tent, EL-Lighting^TM creates a solution that is easy to handle and can be packed up quickly.

EL-Lighting^TM is crushable, able to withstand more than 100 crush cycles in the Gelbo flex test per ASTM F 392. Panels will remain lit in abusive environments, withstanding piercing, abrasion, twisting and compression. It is cool to the touch and flame resistant per ASTM D 6413.
